Congratulations !!!

Once again, I would like to congratulate you for making it in your exams last year. I knew that as a hardworker, you are definately going to make it. Have you registered this year? Since the end is so near, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you well in your exams. It is quite hectic now, but I know through the efforts that you are going to put, you are gonna make it. It has been a rough journey but eventually we pulled through. Always rememember that success is what you made. For this module, our lecturers were really encouraging. I must admit that it was tough but through support of each and everyone of you, we are going to conquer the world. GOOD LUCK !!

OBE A FAILURE?

Colleagues have you seen yesterday's article in THE TIMES (16.09.09)? It is said that OBE is failing as it produces incompentent learners. They are saying that we educators cn't even use the text book. There is a team consisting of the MEC which is to find out the latest developments around OBE/NCS.

Quite interesting I must say. What's your view?

PRESIDENTIAL HOTLINE

Fellow students! What do you think of the hotline set by our president? Is it really worth it or is it just a waist of taxpayers' money?

Ipersonally think that it is a good move, as long as action can be taken out of comments that people will be making. Let it not be a white elephant.

Caster Semenya saga

I think the media is not doing justice to Caster. There is absolutely nothing wrong that she did. The only mistake that she did was to outrun her competitors. She is talented, she needs to be given some break. We don't even have to feel pity for her, all that she deserves is honour. She is fortunate that now she is aware of the medical complications that migh emanate from her situation. Big up to her!

CONFED CUP

Did anyone of you attend any confed cup game? wow! what an experience. I was tacken aback by the fact that we as South africans have potential. It was amazing to see that we are able to can host an event of such magnitude. I must say it was quite an experience. I can't wait for 2010! By the way I attended the semi-final game between South Africa and Brasil.

INTEGRATING ICT IN TEACHING AND LEARNING

The stuff that we are learning currently on ICTs is so fascinating. It's gonna be really challenging to integrate that into our teaching. i think one of the major challenges our country will be faced with is teacher development. our government should invest on developing all educators but i still believe that it has to start with an individual.
